June is National Fruit and Vegetable Month

Summertime and the eating is easy when you can graze your way through the stacks of fresh produce now available in grocery stores and farmers’ markets. And to celebrate summer and healthy eating, June is designated National Fruit and Vegetable Month.

This month the VirtuVites Blog will be celebrating all things healthy this month with a series of posts on Fruits and Vegetables.

Produce for Better Health Foundation offers the Fruits & Veggies-More Matters health initiative. A health initiative that offers expert cooking advice, nutrition information and shopping tips. PBH is a non-profit consumer education foundation whose purpose is to motivate people to eat more fruits and vegetables to improve public health.
