L-Carnitine Fumarate is an amino acid(like) nutrient that is found naturally in the body and in red meat. It plays a major role in the process of burning fat for energy. This nutrient is a great weight loss aid as it can help to increase muscle strength, energy and increase fat burning efficiency. L-Carnitine can also help you achieve more energy, increase immune function, enhance and protect your mental faculties, and lower your cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

L-Carnitine Fumarate is the most stable and bio-available carnitine salt. Contains 58.5% of active principle. Because fumarate is naturally present in the Krebs cycle it optimizes the action of L-carnitine. Recent studies have shown that fumaric acid increases energy through the anaplerotic effect and is beneficial for cardiac conditions.

When L-Carnitine Fumarate is taken in supplemental form, it can increase energy, burn fat, improve the functioning of the heart and liver (and studies suggest, even increase sperm quality!) Supplementation of this essential nutrient is a good idea for anyone looking to lose weight and improve muscle tone and strength.

I’ll Drink to that … Tea could fight obesity

Obesity has become a widespread problem in the United States. The recent economy struggles may increase obesity numbers as people try to save money by eating cheap and unhealthy food. This behavior pattern could lead to a significant increase on related disorders such as cardiovascular diseases and diabetes.

But there is some promising news in the fight against obesity and all you need to do is have a Green and White Tea Party.

Green Tea

Five cups of green tea every day could help you shed twice as much weight – most of it around your middle, according to a Journal of Nutrition study. Researchers also found that people who had sports drinks with green tea for 12 weeks lowered their levels of triglycerides, a blood fat linked to heart disease.

Catechins, the antioxidants in the tea, are thought to boost energy and enhance fat-burning, and they may influence body composition in other ways.

Green tea is a type of tea made solely with the leaves of Camellia sinensis, that has undergone minimal oxidation during processing. Green tea does contain caffeine but less than coffee.

White Tea

A recent study shows that an extract from white tea can reduce the number of new fat cells produced and break down the fat in existing ones.

The research shows that white tea extract can inhibit the creation of new adipocyte and stimulate fat mobilization from mature fat cells. Adipocytes are the cells that primarily compose adipose tissue, specialized in storing energy as fat.

Like most teas, white tea comes from the camellia sinesis plant but contains lower levels of caffeine than green teas. A specialty in China, white tea is generally less processed than other teas.
